Food for thought. I think Conqueror’s Haki can be used as a forceful temporary deterrent that forces your opponent to retreat for a while. Similar to a certain battle cry shout in Skyrim. Why does everyone react the way they do when Shanks pulls up? On Greenbull, he flexed his conquerors haki and Greenbull stopped in his tracks and put his hands up, we saw Rayleigh do the same thing to BB. We’ve actually seen Shanks and Luffy do this with animals. Shanks with the sea beast and Luffy with Duval’s bull. We also see situations where people freak out over Conqueror’s like Bluejam during ASL flashback, Luffy on Punk Hazard, and Doflamingo when his brother and dad were being persecuted.

Yes, the fact that Ace didn’t run isn’t incoherent for his character. It’s still a stupid decision and I can hate him for that if I want.
So much people died just to save him and Ace threw his life away by attacking akainu just because he insulted Whitebeard? How stupid can you be to do something like that? Whitebeard was the strongest man of the world and he still didn’t try to avenge Oden because he knew the risks that such an action would bring to him and his crew, and he would be similar to a weak kid that thinked he could take on an admiral and that wasted all the pain and effort his crewmates and brother went through just for him?
It’s not even the first time that he did something so much stupid, but at least I can kinda understand hunting down a dangerous man kinda on his level, since blackbeard killed one of his best friend.
But what he did at Marineford? No man, that kid was just an idiot and he was clearly eager to die, there is no other explanation.

Yeah I don’t understand the Greenbull hate, like is supposed to fight shanks in top of all the people there as well. He’s the highest ranking Yonko and another Yonko there already. Even Akainu would have left

Personally I think someone has the right to like or dislike a character for any reason and even though what you said is objectively correct someone’s opinion is only based on them so some people might get swayed by facts but you shouldn’t get upset if someone’s opinion on a fictional character doesn’t change because you explained the writing

Nah Ace wasted all those lives that were given to free him. Threw away all that just cause someone talked shit. In character or not it’s a stupid and selfish move.

I like akainu as a villain because making a villain that we hate with a burning passion ishow you make a successful villain. But i hate him as a person because he killed ace(from luffy’ perspective)

I actually hated Sanji before WCI. Initially I just found his gags to be annoying, especially when he would do them during serious moments, but what made me actually start hating him was when he told Jinbei to kill himself on Fishman Island for not stopping Arlong. It felt like Jinbei’s entire story went right over Sanji’s head only for him to go “You are indirectly responsible for making my one sided crush cry. Therefore, you should kill yourself now.” It wasn’t his place to voice his opinion on the matter before Nami and he did it in such a revolting way.
