I believe that Kaido ate the mythical devil fruit the To To No Mi model or Fishu Fishu
No Mi model Ningyo Japanese mermaid or merman in the case of Kaido these
Japanese mermaids if you eat the flesh grants you longevity and the
ningyo has gold scales as often dipicted in art like Kaido’s fish scales
on his lower torso. Furthermore tying into Kaido’s character if a
ningyo was seen washed ashore it was seen as an omen of war and if you
caught a Ningyo it is capable of generating storms like Kaido’s power
and is modelled after the koy carp the fish which symbolises Japan and
in one Chinese legend it is said after a jumping through a water a set
number of times said koy was capable of transforming into a dragon. So
in conclusion Kaido’s fish fruit is awakened which is why he can change
into a dragon.

Luffy won’t tell about the relationship between ace and him . He doesn’t care about the past and want no sympathy. Luffy saying non chalantly that his brother is dead though he is said says something about his character he accepted reality, when he woke up he could’nt. But jimbei made him realise the present is more important. He didn’t go after akainu, he accepted the reality and moved on that’s a character development no one noticed. I’m not saying luffy won’t kick akainu’s ass if he sees him. But he didn’t ditch his friends or put them in danger for his past

Well in the mythology the fish transforms into the dragon so the orign of the dragon is actually a fish

Is the reason momo’s fruit is considered a failure because he can just turn into a dragon but kaido can go into fish form
